About us
Dear Flower,
I'm Amna.
I started Blooming Mail out my love for flower making, and a need for slowness and beauty. For a long time everything has felt too fast, too loud and too much, and learning about flowers and creating them provided gentleness and creativity without a demand on productivity.
I discovered flower language through The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart. The idea that flowers had their own language and could speak for us, and provide us with ways to reflect.
I started growing flowers. Then making them with paper. Then learning their meanings. And I thought: what if there was a community of people doing this together?
A garden full of Flowers. Each person creating their own paper blooms, learning the language, slowing down together.
That's Blooming Mail.
When you subscribe, you become a Flower in our garden. Each month, you receive what you need to make that month's flower and learn what it means. Over time, you build your own garden.
Some Flowers share their blooms with #BloomingCommunity. Some keep theirs private. Both are perfect.
Dear Flower, welcome to the garden. I'm so glad you're here.
Amna
